What Happens at Your First Visit

We keep it simple, and we will never rush you. Here is what to expect, step by step.

Check in
Our front desk will greet you and help you complete a few short new patient forms. Please arrive a few minutes early.

Talk with Dr. Casteel
Tell him what is bothering you, when it started and what makes it better or worse. He will ask about your health history and your goals.

Comprehensive exam
A hands-on exam checks your posture, range of motion, muscles and nerves to find where the problem is coming from.

X-rays, if you need them
If Dr. Casteel needs a closer look at your spine, X-rays are taken right in the office. They are included in the $100 exam.

Your results and your plan
He explains what he found in plain language, how he recommends treating it and how many visits it should take.

Nervous about your first adjustment?

That is completely normal. Dr. Casteel explains everything before he does it, uses gentle techniques and checks in with you the whole time. You are always welcome to ask questions or take things slower.

What Your First Visit Costs

Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam with any needed X-rays for $100. Most insurance plans cover chiropractic care, and we will help check your benefits before you come in.

On Medicare? Medicare typically covers adjustments, but generally not the exam or X-rays. No insurance? Adjustments start at $38, with money-saving packages.

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

Yes. Once we identify what is causing your pain, we can get to work on building a personalized plan to get you feeling better.

Do I have to get X-rays?

Only if Dr. Casteel needs them to understand what is going on. When they are needed, they are taken in the office and included in your $100 exam.

Is chiropractic safe for older adults?

Yes. Chiropractic care is generally safe for older adults when it starts with a thorough exam. Dr. Casteel reviews your history first and uses gentle, controlled techniques suited to your age and comfort.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can call and schedule directly. Some insurance plans require a referral for coverage, so check with your plan or ask us when you call.
